David Havrilla has worked in the industrial laser and laser material processing fields for over 35 years and holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His passion for industrial laser processing intensified during his postgraduate studies at the Imperial College in England, where he investigated the viability of laser cladding die components.

David has held numerous technical and managerial roles over his three-and-a-half-decade career, including Product Manager, Manager of the Laser Applications Lab, and Manager of Product and Project Management. David has been a prolific writer over the years, publishing a book on The Fundamentals of Laser Material Processing for Rofin-Sinar Laser, Inc., as well as dozens of technical articles for trade journals and industry conferences.
