Ms. Pollard has a BS degree in Medical Technology, ASCP certified as well as a degree in Laser Electro Optics Technology. she is also a board-certified Medical Laser Safety Officer.

She has over 30 years of experience in surgical operating rooms and clinics, specializing in medical and surgical laser devices and delivery systems involving a wide variety of laser applications and technologies. Her experience includes active medical/ surgical laser program development and management as well as specializing in medical/ surgical laser education and training.

She has also served as an advisor for the ANSI Z136.3 federal laser safety guideline committee, as well as serving as guest speaker and program chair for the International Laser Safety Conference Medical PAS (ILSC).
